Enrico Porfido

is a PhD Architect with studies and working experiences in Italy, Albania, Norway, Portugal, Brazil and Spain. His research focuses on the relationship between tourism, landscape and local communities, investigating the effect on coastal and urban landscapes. Former lecturer at Universiteti Polis in Tirana, in 2018 he was the curator of Tirana Architecture Week 2018 and scientific coordinator of the international scientific conference “[CO]habitation tactics”. Member of the “Institute Habitat, Territory, Tourism” (Polytechnic University of Catalunya) and the “sealine research centre” (University of Ferrara), he co-founded an independent research group “paisviagem”. In this framework, he recently started a collaboration with the Gulbenkian Foundation of Lisbon. Now based in Barcelona, where he collaborates with public and private institutions, he is the coordinator for the international scientific conference “Touriscape2 – Transversal Tourism and Landscape”, Barcelona 2020. In the last years, he has been invited as guest lecturer and crit in several institutions, such as Cornell University in Ithaca (USA), the CETT – School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy in Barcelona and Milano-Bicocca University. He regularly publishes in international scientific journals and magazines.
